My Dairy Free Berrylicious Mango Smoothie Recipe

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share with you my 1st official blog post recipe – a simple, healthy, but delicious, sweet & tropical recipe with you to start off the New Year in 2018!! As the start of a New Year, most of us like to eat and be healthy again after the Holidays. I love discovering new or fresh ways to add to my diet and stay healthy with foods or drinks!

As some of you know, I enjoy dairy free products because of my food sensitivities as I continue to learn and discover new foods & drinks that are dairy free, I’m always happy and love sharing them with my readers. Last year after Christmas, I finally decided to buy a Nutribullet and perfect timing as it was on sale. If you don’t know what a Nutribullet is, it is a powerful blender that easily blends and juices fruits and vegetables into smoothies. The Nutribullet is easy to use and makes smoothies very quickly for single serve or more!

If you can’t guess it yet, I will be sharing with you a smoothie recipe and it’s dairy free. I thought this would be a great way to stay healthy with fruits & vegetables especially with the cold winter days here in Toronto, it’s a great source for natural energy as well as being rich in vitamins (Vitamin C, E, A), anti-oxidants, and fiber.

Smoothies are nutritious and fun to make and easy to digest. They are great for all year-round drinks and you can adapt the fruits to the season as well. Particularly for winter, I’m usually craving for the tropical flavours, which makes smoothies a bright, fresh and great energy drink that helps brighten a winter day.

My new & simple recipe is called: Dairy Free Berrylicious Mango Smoothie. The ingredients for this recipe includes: frozen strawberries, mangos, and raspberries along with my fave dairy free organic soy beverage/milk, Natur-a, which I tried using both their Unsweetened Almond Beverage and Original Organic Soy Beverage. If you don’t prefer the almond taste, then I suggest you use the Original Organic Soy Beverage (Milk) and Natur-a also has the unsweetened version as well for the Original if you prefer that one. I personally loved the Original Organic Soy Beverage one!!

Why Natur-a Soy Beverage?

  • I have tried several different soy milk products and have really enjoyed the natural, organic and taste to Natur-a products.
  • It’s a Canadian brand, which is great to enjoy our own brands here in Canada.
  • Natur-a products are made entirely of natural ingredients, vitamins, and essential minerals. It has the perfect balance between good nutrition and good taste.
  • For soy milk products, I definitely recommend Natur-a as they also have different types of soy beverages that ranges from soy, almonds and rice.

The frozen fruits I chose for my smoothie: strawberries, raspberries and mangos because I love the tropical flavours as it reminds me of the warmer weather and being on the beach. If you didn’t know, I love anything that has mango in it from desserts to drinks! It is no surprise that I’m using mangos with my smoothies as well. To balance out the sweetness I decided to add a bit of raspberries for tartness.

The last ingredient to my smoothie is adding Honey Almonds Granola from Nature’s Path as a topping. I wanted to add texture to the smoothie and Honey Almonds Granola is the perfect topping to complete this tropical and healthy smoothie. You would think the Honey Almonds would make it sweeter, but it doesn’t. It’s the perfect extra crunchy taste to complete this smoothie. Nature Path’s Honey Almonds Granola is a great additional to the smoothie as it provides a good source for fiber, Vitamin E, magnesium, B vitamins and zinc. Nature’s Path makes their products organic, non-GMO and gluten free. The Honey Almonds Granola also is mixed with chia seeds, which have tons of omega 3 fatty acids, fiber, making this granola topping healthy to add to this smoothie.

Now that you know my ingredients for this smoothie, it’s time to make this dairy free sweet & healthy smoothie! It’s easy to make in 5 minutes or til it’s blended smooth. Gather your ingredients minus the Honey Almonds Granola and put them in the blender (Nutribullet cup) and blend. Once it’s blended to a smooth texture, then pour in your desired cup or glass and sprinkle the Honey Almonds Granola on top. Then sit back and enjoy this fresh tropical healthy smoothie! ~Does it feel like you’re sitting at the beach yet??~ 😊

As winter is halfway done, I’m excited for Spring already with the next few months will be busy. I’m already counting down to my big vacation in May to Jamaica lol…😉 This tropical smoothie is already reminding me of my tropical vacation coming up!!

Dairy Free Berrylicious Mango Smoothie

  • Servings: 1 person

A dairy free & healthy smoothie with tropical fruits of strawberries, mangos, and raspberries topped with Honey Almond Granola. A fresh and bright tropical tasty smoothie!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy milk or almond milk (your preference)
  • 1 cup frozen mango chucks
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ¼ cup frozen raspberries
  • 1-2 tbsp Honey Almonds Granola

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender
  2. Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy
  3. Pour into a glass
  4. Top the smoothie with a sprinkle of Honey Almonds Granola
