About Bonnie

Hi all, Welcome to my sweet blog!!

My name is Bonnie and I’m a foodie who combines my love for Food, travel, and Events into one passion in my life. I have always been a bit obsessed with photographing my food and discovering new places to try while I was either travelling or in Toronto particularly with desserts or sweets. I have always prefer my desserts and sweets over any type of food!! I love my sweets, I got quite of a sweet tooth that I can’t resist! If I could have dessert as my first course I would lol!! Isn’t desserts the best part of any meal? Who doesn’t love desserts?

So I wanted a place to share my photos and my food experiences so that’s why I’m here with this sweet blog sharing my love for desserts & sweets along with my new food experiences with everyone.

Besides enjoying my desserts/sweets, other food I also enjoy are Asian cuisine yes I love eating my rice everyday, part of something I grown up with as well I love pho of course (who doesn’t love pho? πŸ™‚ ) and my love for bubble tea. As well I enjoy some classic Italian food. I’m not a morning person, but I love breakfast foods. It doesn’t have to be the weekend to enjoy a delicious brunch, my fave breakfast foods are Strawberry pancakes and I love the “Big Breakfast” with scrambled eggs and sausage! I usually love trying out new cafes especially for brunch! I’m a tea drinker and I love hot tea and ice tea of course!

Two weird things about food people hear from me are that: I don’t eat spicy food and I don’t like chocolate. Shocking I know I don’t like chocolate, I get weird looks all the time when I tell people esp. as I love sweets and I’m a girl, but it’s true. I have no explanation why I don’t like it, only that even when I was young I didn’t like it. I guess I’m just weird in a good way. πŸ™‚

What I love about Events is that it incorporates both my love for food and Events. I love attending culinary food festivals where as a foodie, I’m able to expand my passion for food and learn from different chefs and vendors about food. This is also where I discover new restaurants, trends, or different foods to expand my knowledge about food where then I share with everyone here on my blog.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. I currently still reside in Toronto with my family consisting of my 2 younger sisters and a proud Auntie to my 5 year old niece. Living in the city like Toronto, it offers me a variety of cultural and diversity types of food options that is why I enjoy living the city life to indulgence my food crave & preferences.

Even when I was younger, I started developing an interest for food with my family and friends where we enjoyed trying new restaurants together. From there, my passion for food started to develop more and I started enjoying and appreciating in more depth about food. As I love to take photos, taking photos of food came natural to me.

I thought what can I do with food if I can’t cook since I’m not a chef. Then my sisters and friends suggested maybe share places where I love to eat with others. And that’s how I started this blog and now together with my sisters, family and friends I explore new or different restaurants, bakeries, cafes in Toronto and while I’m travelling too exploring what outside of Toronto has to offer places I visited so far: Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Las Vegas; Orlando, Florida; Kingston, Ontario; Miami, Florida & more.

As a foodie and upcoming blogger, my professional career is more of an opposite of the love I have for food as I studied Business Management and Marketing in University. During my studies, I worked part time in Real Estate working as an Admin Assistant. Then I continued working full time as an Admin Assistant developing my professional career in Real Estate working in both Residential and Commercial industry.

Then recently in 2013-14, I studied and completed my certificate in Events Management as my passion for Events and Food became more of a clear path of what I wanted to pursue in my career despite working in the Real Estate industry. There was still something missing in my career and I knew that. That is why I am here today pursuing my passion for Events & travel and of course my love for food is why I created this blog.

Here are some of my other interests besides food, shocking I know lol:

  • I love travelling as I mentioned a bit before, still haven’t gone overseas yet and it is one of my goals to travel to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand
